JOB OPENINGS

Log Processor Operator

Sort logs for export, mill, and pulp according to specifications for size, quality, and pulp. Properly load logs onto log trucks and sent them to appropriate yard or mill according to spec sheet, and closely following all safety protocols. Minor computer use for entering and printing log ticket to give to the log truck driver. Communicate closely with C&C Dispatch Supervisor problems & needs. Perform daily maintenance of checking fluid levels, greasing, and inspecting for cracks & damage at the end of shift, and refueling the machine as needed. Pass pre-hire drug test.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Perform all repairs on large tracked and wheeled heavy equipment from many major equipment manufacturers including; CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, TigerCat, Madill, Link Belt, Doosan, and Ponnse, plus attachments. Troubleshoot and repair Electrical, Diesel, Hydraulic, structural, and communication (computer) problems with equipment. Possess good welding skills, schematic reading, understand electrical systems, and have computer skills. Must have own tools. Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds, climb stairs & ladders. Must have valid driver’s license with clean insurable driving record to drive company service vehicles, field mechanic service truck requires Class B CDL. Have a positive attitude toward working safely and be safety minded. Pass pre-hire drug test.

Log Truck Driver

Safely drive to logging side, prepare trailer to be unloaded by loading shovel, hook up trailer. After loaded wrap the load to secure it and safely drive to the mill to be unloaded. Driver must perform pre-trip inspection per DOT regulations, and keep their assigned truck clean, organized and professional in appearance. All repairs and maintenance work is done by our shop truck mechanics. Must have a class A CDL with clean insurable driving record, and pass DOT drug test. We have the Industry leading pay scale for log truck drivers so expect the best performing, and most capable, safety oriented drivers.

Rigging Slinger / Choker Setter

Select logs to be choked for the next turn, choke logs, and clear out so they can be safely yarded to the landing. Set up and take down tower, run lines for next job, and help with row changes. Inspect and maintain sky car, lines, and choker bells. In addition to company benefit package Rigging Slingers & Choker Setters receive $500.00 boot allowance annually.

Hook Tender

The Hook Tender is the crew team leader. He must stay ahead of crew by preparing for next row change in advance. Selects and notches guy line stumps, and tail holds. With Operator determines tower location & positions on landings and supervises set ups and take downs. The Hook Tender Inspects cables, shackles, choker bells, sky cars, saws, stumps, and crew bus to assure they are in safe operating condition. The Hook Tender is in tune with his team members’ experience level and makes sure they have what they need, and know what they need to know, to work safely and productively. The Hook Tender provides training and shares his knowledge to his team members in a positive compassionate manner. He promotes open communication, to build and maintain a positive & safe working environment. This is a highly responsible, critical position that pays top dollar for the individual who along with polished technical skills & knowledge, has demonstrated leadership abilities. In addition to standard benefits, Hook Tenders receive $500.00 boot & rain gear allowance annually.

Parts Specialist

Duties include but are not limited to- Maintain parts room inventory using inventory management system, pull needed parts and bill to appropriate equipment or counter sale. Research needed parts using equipment parts book and / or computer. Shipping & receiving- package up parts that need mailed to customers, receive into inventory part deliveries. Precisely build hydraulic hoses to specification of application. Effective customer service based communication using verbal skills at parts counter, phone calls, and email. Keep parts room clean, organized, and professional looking. Valid driver's license with clean insurable driving record. An upbeat attitude and ability to stay on task unsupervised. Someone who takes pride in their work and has good follow through with tasks given.
